‘Recipe Roundup No. 2’ ….. Super Bowl Snack Ideas

I follow lots of terrific food blogs and recently I decided to ‘share the wealth’ by posting a weekly Recipe Roundup.  Each Roundup features four delicious recipes from four different bloggers.

When I first began my little food blog the main idea was to share recipes, which we all love to do.  (I’m sure many of you have a file of recipes either copied from friends, ripped out of magazines or found online.)  What I hadn’t expected was the joy I would find in making lots of new friends!

This week features recipes from Foodie Crush, My Favourite Pastime,  Damn Delicious  &  Chef Mimi.    Enjoy!

Heidi, of Foodie Crush, blogs from Salt Lake City and calls herself a ‘recipe maker, picture taker, lover of food bloggers and their recipes and photos.

Liz hails from Canada, hence the name of her blog is My Favourite Pastime – with that added ‘u’ we Americans no longer use for some reason.  Liz is a prolific baker but she shares great recipes of all kinds.

Mimi, whose wonderful blog is called Chef Mimi, has been involved in many aspects of ‘the food world’ including  being a personal chef, a caterer, a food columnist and a cooking school teacher etc.  etc.

Chungah, of Damn Delicious, resides in California with her Corgi named Butters. Chungah like to say she cooks in a closet-sized kitchen.  Closet-sized or not, she does a great job.

My Yellow Farmhouse - Cooking with Love!

Sure, it's necessary to eat to survive - but that's not any fun!! The fun comes from cooking, serving and eating with lots of love, I began this blog to share some of the delicious recipes I've gathered over the years. Thanks for dropping by & sharing the love!

    1. Hi There My Friend! Happy New Year AND – Happy Spring! It’s been C.R.A.Z.Y. here!! I put my beloved Yellow Farmhouse on the market in Feb. and it sold in one week. (I can’t remember if you knew this already.) I’ve been working, working and working on ‘getting rid of stuff’ for a good while & now it’s ‘pack up what’s left time’…. I have about 2 1/2 weeks before the closing.
I’m going to stay at a friend’s condo (he rents it during the winter) in Naples until I decide where I want to live. I’m thinking St. Augustine at the moment after spending a week a few months ago checking out a few areas.
I plan, once at the condo, to start posting again!! And I see you’ve been busy!!
I know you’ve gotta be enjoying spring as much as I am!! ; o )

  1. This is such a great idea, Cecile. Not only do we get some great recipes but the blogs are definitely worth checking out, too. Don’t give up. Perhaps people have been distracted by the holidays and will return now. In any event, today’s recipes are great. With the Super Bowl on the horizon, those 2 dips are sure to get a lot of use. And how can you ever go wrong stuffing cheese in something and wrapping it up in bacon? Serve all 3 dishes and all that’s missing is a portable defibrillator. 😀

    1. I was thinking the same thing – four new recipes – plus four new blogs to ‘check out’.
John – I JUST LOOOVE YOU!!!! Your comments about the appetizers cracked me up – as always!! ; o )

    1. I agree! I loved the idea of sharing some recipes from blogger friends of mine BUT I haven’t gotten a big reaction from the two I’ve Roundups I’ve posted… so I’ll have to see if I do any more.
